أكّد وزير العدل المحامي عادل نصار أنّ سيناريوهات عدّة تواجه جلسة اليوم، من بينها إتاحة المجال لمزيدٍ من النقاش وتأجيل البتّ ببند السلاح الى جلسة أخرى تُعقد يوم الخميس.

ولفت نصار، في حديثٍ لموقع mtv، الى أنّه لم يطلع بعد على ورقة السفير توم برّاك، كاشفاً أنّه سيطالب في الجلسة بجدولٍ زمنيّ لتسليم سلاح حزب الله.

وقال نصار: نتمنّى أن تستيقظ ضمائر المسؤولين في حزب الله، فيسلّم سلاحه ونذهب معاً الى بناء الدولة، ولكن إذا أصرّ على الإبقاء عليه فمن غير المقبول أن يأخذ الشعب اللبناني معه الى الانتحار.

Justice Minister, lawyer Adel Nassar, confirmed that today’s session faces several scenarios, including allowing more time for discussion and postponing the decision on the weapons issue to another session scheduled for Thursday.

Speaking to MTV’s website, Nassar noted that he has not yet reviewed the paper submitted by Ambassador Tom Barrack. He revealed that during the session, he will call for a timeline for the handover of Hezbollah’s weapons.

Nassar stated: “We hope the conscience of Hezbollah’s leadership awakens, that they hand over their weapons, and that we move together toward building the state. But if they insist on keeping them, it is unacceptable to drag the Lebanese people with them into suicide.”
